What's Included with my childcare and childminding services?

 Pick Ups and Drop-Offs

Depending on your needs and schedule, I am able to pick your child up after school or from your doorstep. I always aim to arrive early for both convenience and security. After a long (or short!) day of learning and fun together, I will drop your child off at home. In the interest of fostering a fruitful childminder-parent relation I will feed back what we got up to, what we learned and any observations.
 

 Healthy Exploration

Weather permitting, your child and I will embark on a range of outdoor trips to local parks, trails and playgrounds. This helps your child to connect with nature, engage in unstructured play and develop essential motor skills while basking in the fresh air and sunlight.
 

 Engaging with Local Libraries

Visits to libraries aren't just about books; they are gateways to exploration, imagination and discovery. I encourage a love for reading with trips to libraries, where your child can immerse themselves in stories, participate in interactive reading and explore the world with age-appropriate books.
 

 

 Out-and-About Learning

The best education is disguised as play. Whether we're at the park or the Delights Den Child Care facility, I am always looking for ways to turn experiences into valuable moments for learning. A simple walk around the neighbourhood can be a lesson about road safety, local history, manners, local wildlife or more.

 Social Interaction

Our explorations together will provide your child with opportunities to interact, mix with and play with others their age. Through conversation, negotiation and cooperation during play, children learn to express themselves, listen to others and understand social cues.

Education

While not a formalised curriculum, the topics covered for the youngest of the child in my care are designed to slot in and around the early years foundation stage framework. This includes naming colours, communication and language, reading, mathematics and maybe even arts and crafts.

What additional training do you have?

In addition to my levels 1 to 3 qualifications in childcare and education, I am fully trained in security, safeguard and first aid as well as DBS-checked.

What activities do you offer to promote children’s development?

My in-facility programs include a variety of stimulating activities such as arts and crafts, story time, outdoor play, music and educational games all with the intent of holistic child-centred development.

What are groups do you child mind?

I childmind everyone between the ages of 0 and 16.

Is my child able to sleep over?

No – Every childminding session will end with me dropping your child off back home.

Can you take my child out on trips further away?

In the interest of convenience, security and maximising our time together, I am only able to provide days out in the Erith, Dartford, Belvedere and Bexleyheath area at this time.

Can I check in on my child during the day?

Of course – Both myself and your child are just a phone call away.

Do you provide my child with food?

Your child will be provided with snacks and fruits throughout the childminding service.
